Have you watched the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"? Or have you watched the Bollywood movie "Paa"? Well, these movies were of course not based on real incidents. But believe me, there are real life incidents, which are no less "curious" than those imaginary stories.
Meet Anjali and Keshav, who are suffering from such a curse which they aren't even responsible for. These two Indian kids are siblings and share the same fate.
Read their complete story here.
This is Anjali. Seeing her face, its nbsp;hard to guess her age. But most people would say she is of course, more than 70 years old. Well, guess what, she's only 7. She suffers from joint pains, muscle pain, poor eyesight and low immunity.
Keshav here, is the younger brother of Anjali. He's only 18 months old and his behavior too is just like a baby of his age, just that he doesn't look like them. He also suffers from symptoms that his sister suffers from.
Anjali and Keshav have one elder sister, Shilpi. Shilpi is just like everyone else. Anjali and Keshav are growing up seeing their "normal" sister who hurts them more as they are different.
Anjali and Keshav's father Shatrughan is not a very wealthy person. He can only afford Homeopathy treatment for them which costs him around 500 rupees per month. But is hasn't shown any positive effect on the kids.
After several tests and analysis, doctors have come to a conclusion that Anjali and Keshav both suffer from Cutis Laxa, a very rare form of Progeria. And what can be worse .. doctors cannot give any hope. Its evident that there is no cure for this. Not only in India, but also in whole world.
Anjali goes to school like all the children of her age. The only difference being she has to deal with the mental tortures from other children who call her "Buddhi"( old woman ). Whereas she already has to deal with her physical problems, this just adds up. It's unimaginable for a 7-year-old to go through such pain.
Their father Shatrughan and mother Rinki Devi, both try to do the best possible things for their children. Their elder sister Shilpi is also very helpful. They just want Anjali and Keshav to be independent and not become anyone's liability. They all are hoping for a better life for Anjali and Keshav. Well, we all hope the same too.
