'How I Met Your Mother' is one of the most highly watched and critically acclaimed American Rom-com show, which aired on CW for nine years (2005-2014) . Everything, from the presentation of the stories and their ludicrous theories to the unbelievable tying off the loose ends in the finale, the spell of this show was unwavering and unshakable!
Here are the top nine romantic moments, over the span of nine seasons and nine years.
On 9th number is the episode 9*16 . This episode focused on Tracy's life story and how everything that happened in her life, led her to Ted. And that night, after breaking up with her boyfriend, she sat in the balcony of her room and sang 'La vie en rose' and Ted was in the adjacent room, listening to her for the first time.
In episode 9*22, when Barney was trying to write down the perfect Vows, which will convey to Robin how much he loves her. In the moments just before the wedding; Barney makes one vow which was more important than any other, that he will always be true to her, no matter what.
In episode 4*13, when it snowed for three days, continuously. Lily was stranded in Seattle for two extra days because the flight was canceled. Now Marshal and Lily had this ritual, which as they grew, they thought was outdated and somewhat childish and they decided not to do it anymore, but still, after so many struggles, they managed to keep their ritual alive because every day, their love for each other grew as well.
In episode 1*13, when Ted meets this girl at a wedding and they hit it off. In the whole episode they were hot and heavy for each other but this girl (Victoria), had this crazy theory about the kiss not being that romantic, as much as the seconds leading to it, like a Drum-roll.
In this episode 2*23, Marshal and Lilly get married. The day had been a total disaster, for both of them and they were freaked out about how bad the wedding was going to be. So Ted suggested, that the ceremony was for the people, if they want to get married the way they want, they should just do it, right there. 'A nice, intimate wedding.'
This is probably the most innovative, and ripped off moment of this show, The two-minute date. A date in which Ted packs up an entire date in just two minutes for a girls, who will turn out to be a devil, but nonetheless, at that time, it was romantic as hell.
Anyone who has seen this show will agree, that Barney's proposal to Robin, even though was bonkers! but still it was one of the most romantic moments in the entire series there is no one denying it.
Again, anyone who has seen this show will understand the importance of this Blue French horn and the emotional weight it carries on both, Ted's and Robin's heart. It was the final scene of the show (not the alternate ending), so many emotions and so many memories; it brought everyone who was watching the show to tears, as how it all ended where it started: under Robin's apartment window, with Ted in tuxedo, holding out the blue French horn (Smurf penis :p ).
