From braids to buns - Ladies listen up!
Spring is in the air and we are ready to shed away winter blues, getting rid of those Beanies and Scarves. Buns have always been in a rage, bringing out the elegance in you with just a few simple steps.
Give your classic tied up hair that extra oomph with these no-fuss 3-minute buns.
For all those lazy girls who love their morning hair. Trust me, I am with you on this one. Toss and turn your hair up and voila you are done. This bun serves best for those late mornings when you are running late for work. All you need to do is - Pull your hair up into a ponytail – as high or low as you like without using a comb. Toss the ponytail on either side, not worrying about the strands coming out creating a messy effect.
I still remember watching "Pretty Woman" again and again trying out all those super fancy buns that Julia Roberts beautifully sported. Let me tell you something.. It's not at all difficult to get that look. Just smooth out your hair, bring both the sides up and pin. Separate those waves into three paths. Start by twisting the middle one into a bun. Secure it with bobby pins. Complete the look by wrapping the other two parts, one by one around the bun.
Bows and feminity go hand in hand. Every other girl is still fantasized by Minnie and her pretty bows. Gather hair into a high ponytail. Loop hair through an elastic band leaving the ends out and on the top of your head. Divide that bun in the middle. Gather the loose end into one section and pull it directly back behind the bun. Pin in place with bobby pins. Here you go pretty, Minnie. Go wear a cute little polka skirt and vaunt that bounce.
Umm.. Donuts! The only circle of love we have. This bun here is super easy to make, and it looks effortlessly chic. Gather hair into a tight ponytail at the top of your head. The higher the bun, the more dramatic the look. Be sure to make sure all of your hair is pulled tight off of your face giving you a sleek look. Take your 'donut' and loop your pony tail through it so it sits securely at the base of your ponytail. Tease, tease, tease your hair to give it that volume. Lay your hair over the donut just like a fountain. Then, wrap it around the donut, in whichever direction you choose, until all ends of your hair are wrapped and tucked underneath. Secure ends of hair with bobby pins. There you have it. Quick, simple and oh so chic! You are definitely going to make heads turn today lady.
I know, I know, what a bad hair day makes us feel like. But this three braid bun is surely going to save your day. Brush your hair thoroughly. Tease your hair at the crown and smooth it out. Separate your hair into three parts. Separate one of the sections into three parts and braid one of the parts. Then, you need to braid the three parts together and secure with elastic bands. Repeat on all the sections of the hair. Keep the clear elastic band at the top of the middle section but not on the outside braids. Now, roll each braid into a bun and secure them with bobby pins. And you are done!
Now that you have become quite familiar with the twisting – wrapping affair. This bun is my personal go to weeding hairstyle. This hairstyle basically consists of twisting sections and wrapping them around the bun. I do it in 5 sections (Front, crown, sides and back). Comb that hair all smooth and divide it into five sections (Front, crown, sides and back). Take the back section and twist it up into a low bun and gather the rest into one section. Remove small bundles from each section and start twisting and wrapping them one by one according to you giving it that chaotic look. There is no need to do this correctly or neatly. You can even sparkle up this look by wearing flowers or adding on those glitter pins.
Err.. Sock?! Well, you might have seen Kim Kardashian's all dolled up pictures on Instagram pouting that sock bun with such ease. Yes, SOCK! Secure your hair up into a ponytail combing it out smooth. Take a sock and go crazy with your scissor cutting the toe portion out. Fold the sock up into a donut and roll it down on your ponytail along with your hair. Secure the bun formed with pins. You might need a lot of them handy. Pump it up with a bandana or tying a cute scarf around into a bow. Here you go, you glamorous soul!
Who isn't a fan of things a little kept and unkempt altogether with ends just lurking out of that bun. An absolute thumbs up on a lazy girl's checklist. Make a high pony and twist it up until your pony starts twisting back on itself. Almost make a bun and leave the end out. Pin the rest of the bun using pins. Loosen it up a little and pose you pretty girl.
Everyone looks forward to a classic chic go-to a hairstyle that can also be worn with an utter comfort throughout the day. Even on days you got to run for work. This bun here is brilliantly impressive when it comes to going to work. Secure your hair with an elastic band into a low ponytail and loosen it up a little. Section the ponytail at the nape and roll the ponytail through the section made. Go round the section until the bun is formed and lock those free strands with bobby pins. Isn't it time saving and the fastest way to look impressive and stunning?
Hair is getting in your way and you can't find an elastic band. Oh, and it's not even on your wrist. How many of you have trouble finding an elastic band when you need one? I am always there, stuck in the very same situation, all the time. For times like that all I do is – Grab all my hair up in a ponytail not securing it with a band. Taking my hair around the finger and twisting my finger up. It will be like on a slant. Pushing that pencil/pen down, into the bun and push it out right around your thumb. Push it back in and back out such that the bun gets securely tightened with that pen. Wow! A bun with just a pencil. Relief, isn't it?
A bun so artistic, you'll fall in love with the technique. Put your hair way up in a ponytail. Tease that hair or back comb to plump them up. Loosely twist the base of the ponytail, fold it towards the back of your head and pin in place. Continue to loosely twist your ponytail, folding it back over your head and pinning it in place with bobby pins. Take the last loop of hair over to create a pretzel. Pin it in place. Get wispy with all those baby hairs. Pull them out and let them make your look soft and playful. Too cute! Wear it any day or every day. Weren't these hairstyles the simplest of all? Just make sure you have your weapons ready! Happy Knotting!
