Wondering how that helps? Well, chewing your food nicely, say an odd 40 times, helps secrete more saliva, which eases up the digestion process. But more than that, it stimulates your brain to send signals to your body telling it you're full, thus reducing your chances of overeating.
Timing also has a lot to do with the digestion process. Our digestion process slows down significantly sometime around the evening, and so it's a good idea to ditch raw food after four, although something like a salad may sound healthy.

By fats, we do refer only to the good fats. Avoid carbs and protein intake, although a healthy amount of their intake is a welcome step towards fitness.
