3 years ago, came a show that made us laugh, cry and reflect on some really important social issues. Comedy Nights With Kapil, a show that entertained viewers for years and made "Kapil-"Gutthi" and "Palak" household names has come to an end.
While some people are happy about it, considering how monotonous the show became over the past few months, die-hard fans of the show are sad because they'll miss their daily dose of entertainment.
Amidst all the allegations of the show becoming monotonous and using "sexist" and "misogynistic" content, the real reason why Kapil's show is going off-air is a different story altogether.
Check out the story below:
"Comedy Nights Bachao" is based on roast comedy, however, Kapil claims that it is not just the show's name that has been lifted from his show. Kapil claims that several gags, situations and comedic elements are copied from his own show.
Things got heated up when Kapil felt that Colors was meting out "step-motherly" treatment to their show after the TRP of Comedy Nights Bachao increased.
The video was indeed an emotional one. As it went viral, fans all over the country got emotional as they saw their favorite characters cry on stage.
A move that earned Colors TV the wrath of Twitterati, the executives refused to air the segment where the cast bid farewell to the audience and they edited out the entire sequence. This enraged the audience and the producers alike.
Colors has roped in Krushna Abhishek, a comedian of similar stature and he is all set to host the show "Comedy Nights Live" which is a replacement for our beloved CNWK.
People all over the country will miss the crazy family, their antics and of course, Dadi's liplock with almost every famous actor.
Reports say that Kapil has already signed a deal with the rival channel of Colors TV, and is all set to move to a new set with his entire cast. Kudos to you Kapil!
