A group of people in Bhutan worship a weird human organ, the penis. Various accounts of travelers who have been to Bhutan talk about the weird graffiti on the walls. All the walls are full of hairy penises of different sizes. They idolize this human organ and worship it.
Some of the penises even have Christmas ribbons on top of them which make them look weirder. It is believed that a saint who travelled Bhutan started this culture over there.

People believe that these paintings of human penises act as protective shields as they destroy the evil around.
Drukpa Kunley travelled Bhutan and started this folklore among the citizens. He believed in non-monastery form of Buddhism and made his followers practice it.
One of his sayings teaches that the real happiness lies below the navel.
He liked to call himself the 'Madman from Kyishodruk'. He spent most of his day with women and wine. He even made many women lose their virginity.
He wanted his followers to lead simple and honest lives. He wanted them to be open about sex and was even known to give blessings in the form of intercourses.
A ritual is still practiced in West Bhutan wherein gods are called to bless the citizens with good health and prosperity. In this ritual, a ladder is taken with its sides in the form of penises. A rope is then tied to the ladder. It is believed that Gods descend using this rope and bless the people.
Childless couples visit the fertility temple in Bhutan where they pray and are blessed with a wooden penis.
