America is a diverse country with various weird traditions. In the sleepy little hamlet of Nederland,Colorado, they might just be doing something which is unusual though. Many people visit Nederland for the Frozen Dead Guy festival. It is really an unbelieveble and an insane tradition.
Bredo Morstol was a Norway resident and minor public official who passed away at the age of 89. Something very unusual was done with his body by his son.
Trygve Bauge, Bredo's grandson in 1989 froze the body and brought it to the States, and finally kept it in Nederland, Colorado.
Trygve's father's body is still frozen inside this shed, hoping to get back life someday maybe!
He has been given the job of maintenance of the body and the integrity of the chamber.
Bredo's frozen corpse has become a mascot for the town now and is celebrated as the Frozen Dead Guy Days Festival. It is like an annual tradition.
There are various games in the city with the frozen dead guy themes, various parades passing. Live musical performance are also there.
