1. Well done Shikhar Dhawan. It's not easy to perform well in your in-laws-home

1. Well done Shikhar Dhawan. It's not easy to perform well in your in-laws-home

Shikhar Dhawan,, who was not being able to perform in last few matches, was under pressure today. Given a big total of 348, it was essential for Dhawan to stand up and deliver. Dhawan played a gutsy knock to score a brilliant 126 in just 113 balls to bring India closer to the target. Ironically, Shikhar's wife is a resident of Canberra. Looks like Dhawan had reserved his best performance for Canberra so that his in-laws can witness it.

2. Dollar has reached 68. Still less than average Indian bowling figures

India's bowling has been a major concern and a prime reason for defeat in this series. After winning the toss, Aussies opted to bat and smashed Indian bowlers all across the ground. Indians finally got success in 30th over when the score was 187. The nightmare for Indian bowlers was not over as Smith and Maxwell smashed 29 balls 51 and 20 balls 41 respectively. Overall, this was the 8th time Indian bowlers failed to perform. Oh! I am counting in Dozens. :p

3. Not sure why this performance is evoking so much surprise- give Delhi boys a flat road and they can't resist a fast chase! #AUSvIND

The only positive thing about 4th ODI for India was the form of Dhawan and Virat Kohli. The Delhi duo rose to the occasion and attacked Australian bowlers. When these two were batting, the victory seemed to be around the corner. The pitch at Canberra was a flat track, and these Delhi boys never let a chance go to chase anything on a flat surface.

4. Dhoni's best performance this series has been in that World T20 ad with his stylist.

Apart from bowlers, India's main concern is a lack of runs by MS Dhoni. He has lost his Midas touch to win matches single-handedly. In 4th ODI when situation was in control, all he had to do was to stay out there in the center till last ball. Where Kohli and Dhawan score hundreds, he was dismissed on just 3rd ball. Clearly, Indian captain needs to perform on the field first rather than performing on screen in advertisements.

5. *Dhoni at a bar* Dhoni: Bill kitna hua ? Waiter: Sir 2500, par aap 2460 hi de do. You must be 30-40 short...

One of the reasons Dhoni tells after almost every match is that the team was 30-40 runs short. This is a clear indication that as a captain Dhoni is not able to abolish the mistakes his team did in past few matches. Doesn't matter how much the batsman score, if the bowlers don't put in their efforts the India will always be 30-40 runs short. Dhoni's chances of sta ying captain of team India are rapidly narrowing down.

6. Kohli doesn't use condoms. He has mastered the pull

Virat's adroitness with bat is indeed redoubtable in this series. He has already scored 2 hundreds and got out once in 90s. On the fast Australian pitches, ball tends to bounce more and hence as a batsman, one has to have a control over a pull shot. Virat displayed a classic example of playing Hook and Pull as he sent the ball over the ropes many times in this series.

8. Greatest collapse in history since Congress.

8. Greatest collapse in history since Congress.

After Aussies put on mammoth 348 on board the chase looked almost impossible. However, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan put up a huge 212 runs partnership. India was 277 for 1 thus, in a comfortable situation to win the match. But Indian batting collapsed miserably as India lost next 9 wickets in just 46 runs.
