The singer has made an announcement about the ongoing scuffle between him and Nia Guzman, pertaining to the custody of his only daughter. According to his family law attorney, Nia has filed for the full custody of the child, which has made the matters worse.
Check out this saddening story.
The singer's family attorney conveyed it over about the ongoing case between him and Nia Guzman, 31, and also about how hard the father is trying to protect his only daughter.
But, if at all it gets hostile between Chris and Nia, Chris and his family attorney are open and firm on taking the matter to the court.
"We're always hoping for an amicable outcome that can be resolved by both parents", said John "Bo" Nichols, Chris' family law attorney.
"I think it's in everyone's best interest to keep this case out of the media and therefore, I'm refusing to discuss the specific allegations made and the detailed facts of the case. It's just in the child's best interest that it happens this way."
"But if it can't, then that's what the courts are for." But, we do hope that a legitimate solution comes up and the matter gets dissolved.
"It's a tragedy when children are used as pawns in a lawsuit", said the attorney, as Nia filed for full custody of the sweet toddler, trying to keep Chris out of the royalty. This move proves that it is not going to be easy.
"In order to get one thing, people barter with something else - a child, for instance. We have a 1-year-old we're trying to protect, and we want her to have consistent and systematic contact with both her parents", said Nicholas. Chris has been all that he can do keep her daughter safe. Fingers crossed, we just hope for the best.
