Google's Advanced Technologies and Projects (ATAP) group, had come up with the project Soli earlier last year. The project has now started towards the developers, which is going to be a small team considering the power of the project. Eventually, although, the program is expected to expand. Check out Soli-
Project Soli is about one tiny chip, which uses radar technology and is an interaction sensor. With the help of the chip, the human hand becomes the interface and the slightest of the movements can be taken accurately and at a fast pace.
Be it a wearable watch or your laptop screen, this technology is for all of it. A slight movement of the hand is an input strong enough to be read and reacted upon.
"We are working on a larger solicitation later this year for the beta release", said a spokesperson. So, no random developer is on the dais for now, but soon it might be an opportunity as the project grows.
The tiny chip, along with its radar-like capabilities might seem as a far-fetched dream, but Google has got real plans to implement this.
A slight swipe of a finger might slide the screen, sliding the thumb with the finger might means scrolling the screen.
This technology has the potential to bring in a revolution in how things are driven with human interaction in the tech world.
