You might have used the 'nearby' feature in Google Maps in order to find public places like gas stations, restaurants, hotels, and more. But, don't you think it would have been nicer if we got these facilities handy and live just like the trafiic updates. Google has now listened us. They have integrated this special feature into the utility, which we are unaware of. Check what exactly it is-
This special mode can be entered into, whether or not you have a destination in mind. So, the overall thing is that Google's artificial intelligence will let us know about everything around us.
First, to access this awesome feature, you will have to upgrade your Google maps to the latest version 9.19.
Open the application. Navigate to "Settings" in the slide-out panel on the left. Next, in the Settings list, select the option- "Sign out of Google Maps". Swipe out the Google map in your phone by tapping on the Mutitasking button.
Reopen Google maps now and open the slide-out panel on the left again. You must now see a "start driving" option here. You can sign in the settings menu again now.
The steps of reaching the feature might vary in different phones, but these steps are the most common. Google probably didn't intend to publish it publicly.
This feature might even be a bug, but if it helps us, it is cool and acceptable altogether. So, use it and stay happy.
