Even as society begins to have full-bodied and more diverse fashion models, there is still a lingering feeling of having an ideal physique. Of course, not everyone will have universally appealing eyes, nose, lips, hips, and everything else, but everyone should be acknowledged for being proud of who the are. Otherwise, it's just going to be a world of bullies and of the bullied.
So, here is a specific case of an innocent woman who posted a selfie, and then gets criticized for her "imperfect" body. Check out the story below to see how she responded.
Suraiya Ali took a selfie to show her underwear and her beautiful body to her nearly 12,000 followers. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy about it.
One comment said that she should shave her stomach hair, perhaps because the mass media often depicts women with flawless, hairless tummies.
Suraiya, who is from Plano, Texas, suddenly received several comments in a form of a Twitter backlash.
Even if a person was slim or full-bodied, the key is confidence and the belief that they are beautiful in their own way, regardless of society's ideals.
Suraiya then responded to the commenters and said that she should be left to be hairy and fluffy. She wants to be confident and in peace, regardless of what others say.
