There's a video spreading over the cyberspace about a paramedic who seemed to have neglected his duty to save lives. Right near Walsall Manor Hospital's facade, Matt Geary showed 'carelessness' right in front of the patient, Carl Cope who collapsed due to heart attack.
Read it to see how inhuman one can get.
36-year-old Matt Geary did not show any sense of urgency for the 47-year-old Cope when the latter suffered a heart attack right on the hospital premises.
Cope struggled to get in the hospital, and he had to suffer from some minutes of being helpless, everything of which was captured by the CCTV.
He came by the patient lying. Checked for some seconds, yes.
Geary went back to the ambulance he was using. Walking calmly, feeling no pressure of saving the patient.
Geary stayed to his ambulance for long, not notifying the personnel inside the hospital
Approximately after seven minutes from the collapse, security personnel approached Cope. Geary remained complacent. After all, this practice is claimed to have not affected the patient's health situation directly.
Upon seeing the evidence, the case was investigated. Geary was suspended. Later on, he resigned from the West Midlands Ambulance Service. After all, his license was not revoked.
On behalf of Carl, his brother Paul expressed grief on Carl's parting.
