Cancer is a persistent & depressive disease that breaks you down mentally, physically & emotionally. Cancer is a struggle & requires a long-term process for the treatment. Many a times, cancer is not detected in the initial stages due to lack of symptoms. It is harder to cure cancer if it is discovered at an advanced stage.
Meet 32-year-old Aniela McGuinness, who defeated breast cancer with a smiling face. When she was going through cancer, she wanted to indulge herself in something to focus on, a place where she can show her creativity. Her breast gave her that space to work upon.
Before the start of her treatment, she captured this picture in order to keep a photogenic image of her breasts to have a memory of how they looked like.
Mastectomy is crucial treatment through which a woman goes through. It's a heartbreaking process in which women's breasts are completely removed under fluorescent lighting.
She learned how to love her breasts after going through treatment. She mentioned on her website that she is not going to reconstruct or tattooed them because she likes the jokes & freedom about not having them.
According to Aniela, the treatment made her feel like a dummy or plastic thing at times. During the process, she lost her hair & was going through expanders.
No doubt she is a tough girl & her decision to stay optimistic shows that she wants to change the image of women who went through mastectomies. She puts a humor to her disease, to make sure that things stay positive.
By doing this creative work, she represented herself as an inspiration to all people about not giving up easily & fight with the problems of life by staying positive. She moreover supports cancer patients to make understand that they're not alone & life is all about fighting with high spirits.
