Even after having the latest technologies, China wasn't able to control the nature's call. The current example came up this week when a massive mudslide hit 33 buildings of the industrial park in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.
This shows that in spite of being known as one of the most powerful countries, the safety standards of China aren't always up to the mark.
According to the media report, more than 85 people were missing.
The cause of the landslide was a huge mound of mud and construction debris that was stored at an industrial park in the city, according to the report.
According to state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV), seven people were rescued overnight, and 13 were hospitalized, including three with life-threatening injuries.
Negligence led to this.
What caused the pile to collapse and spill into the nearby city is still not clear.
The rescuers' efforts are underway; rescuers including members of the army, dogs, doctors are trying their best to help victims.
