No one can ever imagine a sewer as ideal home and live there for a long time but, undoubtedly a couple namely Maria Garcia and husband, Miguel Restrepo did this. They both met on the streets of Medellin, Colombia and fell in love with each other. Surprisingly, they were both drug addicts at that time and out of their love decided to give up on their addictions. With a strong strength to persist without money and family to accept, they made their home in a sewer and are still living over there for last twenty-two years without feeling any urge to leave it.

When they met, they were both drug addicts. In Columbia, they lived on streets which were known for violence and narcotics smuggling.
