Meet Steve Peace, a Calgary, Canada-based tattoo artist, recently modified a tattoo he gave his wife, Lindsay, over ten years ago.

A tattoo portraying each of their kids- Elliot, Hamish and Ace. The symbol of their oldest son, Ace, who is a 15-year-old trans teen, needed some major retouching.

He added that "As our oldest child Ace is FTM transgender, we need to update the tattoo to represent fully who he is in his happy new awesome life."

"A lot of trans people don't like pictures of themselves from their past. That's one that walked around with us, as a family, Peace said. "I think [the tattoo] reaffirmed, for him, that we believed him."
