Modelling agencies are often very strict about their models. They want their women to be incredibly slim, and even after that they still photoshop their bodies. Thus, the beauty of these women turns into unbelievable perfection, at the cost of feeling imperfect.
Well, a company has decided to call it off. They have promised never again to photoshop and manipulate bodies of models. What do you think of their new, real campaign?
This 27-year-old Sonoya Mizuna, a ballerina who's agreed to wear some $exy lingerie and other outfits from Aerie for a project that hopes to promote natural beauty.
The Aerie campaign not only promotes the new ballet-inspired line of lingerie and other athletic wear, but it also shows how the imperfections and unedited looks of women are more than enough to attract customers.
Even with this black and white photo, we just know that Sonoya Mizuna is a gift from the heavens. Her strong legs, long hair, and beautiful face don't need any modification at all.
People often look at women and compare them to idealistic standards. Doing this is wrong and will only make people disappointed, when women are already beautiful the way they are, with no need to be modified digitally.
Ever since January 2014, both Aerie and American Eagle Outfitters have vowed to never again Photoshop, manipulate, and retouch their models' faces and bodies.
The new Aerie collection also features new leg warmers and leggings.
Another person that was featured in the project is the glamorous Fo Porter, a model with tattoos and freckles that are quite attractive.
Fo Porter is great at ballet, she can even do some $exy, healthy yoga too. As you can see, her body wasn't photoshopped. This is how beautiful she is. Even her uneven skin can be seen and appreciated as it is.
