You love your family, right? Well, sometimes people aren't really well-connected with each other. Some parents separate from each other because of financial, emotional, and/or personal problems. Some might be hurting each other, so they think it'd be better to just get away from each other. But with each divorce, a son, a daughter, children become separated from their mothers and fathers.
Here's a heartwarming reunion story between a father and a daughter.
This is April Antoniou. Her parents got separated when she was still young, specifically in 1979 after a fight between the two sealed the deal. Until April reached the age of five, she thought that her stepfather who her mom married was her actual, biological father.
Although the revelation might have been painful, she has since spent the last twenty years trying to make peace with her parents, and ten years have also been spent to try to look for her real father.
In 2009, April decided to do a Google search to see if someone was indeed looking for her. Luckily, she was taken to a website that was made by her father.
Apparently, her father, Scott Becker had already spent around $40,000 just to meet his daughter. In the website, there was a simple note that said that if it was April reading the note, then she should meet his father because he would really like to meet her. An email was sent, and so they eventually meet.
In order to be sure that the woman was indeed his daughter, he asked whether April was a green baby and what her mother's maiden name was, to which she answered correctly. That's when two finally realized that, after 30 years, they had finally met again.
Upon confirmation, the father immediately booked a flight to go to Atlanta and finally see her daughter, all grown up. One surprise was that Scott was actually now a grandfather because April has two children. Hurray!
