IN People ON
There are many people who lose their body parts, and even their whole lives, because of war. From the tragedies in Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, and in the United States, death is part of conflict. But do people who have lost a part of them despise the people who live in the region they were in?
This is a heartwarming story about a man who was injured when he was in Iraq, but in the end, he did not let his pain get the best of him when it came to judging Muslims.
Herbert was a former soldier who lost his leg while fighting in Iraq. Because of society's stereotyping of Muslims, people thought that Herbert might be hateful toward them.
Herbert clarified that while he did lose his leg because of a Muslim man, he wasn't going to despite each and every Muslim in the world.
Well, as Herbert said, Muslims were also responsible for taking care of him. There was a Muslim medic, surgeon, nurse, healthcare assistant, taxi driver, and a doctor who all gave him a helping hand.
Herbert further made his point when he said that a White, British man spat on his girlfriend's face out of jealousy because they were together even though he lost his leg. Another White British person pushed his wheelchair away in order to use the lift first. However, he didn't hate all White Brits either.
The goal of the post was to note that everyone can be a douchebag, but it doesn't mean that an entire group of people should be noted as evil just because of some bad seeds.
Love your family, love your work. Blaming Muslims for every terrorist attack is like hating on all Christians for the KKK and their misdeeds. The world needs more sorted brains like his.
