You might be tempted to strike out visiting a tropical place when going on a trip to Germany, right? Well then, thank the Lord that you stumbled upon this story because we're here to let you know that Germany too has a tropical island of its own, but it's in one of the most unlikeliest of places. This is the Tropical Islands Resort in Brandenburg, Germany, and it is true to its name! You'll know when you step in.
The usual temperature outside remains above 30 degrees throughout. The island is truly like a wormhole!
The Aerium, as it was formerly called, is 1,200 feet long, 700 feet wide, and 350 feet high.
It was purchased by a Malaysian corporation in 2003 with the aim to introduce a tropical experience to the northern Europe.
