When road workers in the Chinese town of Taizhou met with something unidentifiable while digging, 6 feet underground, they could not fathom what it could be. And be told, it's something you'd least expect to find in a city!
Road workers in the Chinese city of Taizhou were doing their job on a road, just like they always do. But just when the day seemed to be like any other, the contractors discovered a strange object buried six feet below the surface!
The workers dug out the object. At first it seemed like some random block of rock. But after hours of investigation, they knew it wasn't. In fact, it was something for which they'd need to call the experts!
Archaeologists were called in to the spot to check out the newly discovered tomb.
The tomb was opened up without disturbing the enclosed contents. It appeared to be filled with linens, silks, and a strange liquid. But that was not all it contained!
Investigating the mummy revealed that the mummy was a 700 years old woman!
Judging by the level of preparation and jewelery, it was concluded that the mummy belonged to the Ming Dynasty.
In fact, it was in such great condition that drawing it out of its coffin was no sweat!
One might find it interesting to note here is that the Chinese didn't even find the discovery of a mummy six feet under a road anything too mind-blowing! The reason is that the Chinese dynasty is very old and has a long and rich history, and so such discoveries aren't out of the moderately usual!
