Meet Robert, an 111-year-old doll which was the inspiration to the character of Chucky in the movie Child's Play. It has believed that Robert is a haunted doll and comes to life often. This is his story.

Gene was gifted a doll by his nanny, who made the doll with wire cloth and straw and also used Gene's own hair for the doll's hair and it was named Robert.
Gene's nanny belonged to the Bahamas and was deep into the world of black magic and voodoo. She cursed the doll as a revenge from Gene's family for firing her.
With the passage of time, Gene and Robert became the best of friends. But what Gene couldn't notice was seen by his servants. They often complained about two voices coming from Gene's room. Other things also started to happen like smashing dishes, locking doors etc.
After growing up, Gene became an artist and got married to a girl named Anne in Paris. Both of them moved to his house in Key West and Anne was made familiar with Robert. Then, because of Robert, the couple started fighting and arguing.
Soon enough, neighbours and children could spot Robert moving in the upper room whereas Gene had kept it in the attic. Frustrated, he kept the doll in a box but very often it was found on a rocking chair. Neighbours started staying away from the house and Robert was addressed as "haunted doll".
After this, Gene sold the house to Myrtle Reuter who ended with the same fate. Her son and brother were killed in a car accident and one of her guests surprisingly disappeared. Today, Robert sits in a glass encasement.
Now, Robert is in a museum but has not left his mischievous activities. Visitors have reported that they have seen him roaming in the corridors. Robert is very similar to Chucky as he does terrible things to people who don't listen to him. It is believed that if you write a letter to Robert asking for his forgiveness, he might stop bothering you. This belief has a proof as thousands of letters are displayed in the museum itself.
