Abandoned hospitals carry weird stories of the people and city, be it an ultramodern city or a rural village. When we think about New York, a picture of the modern city residing 8 million people and half-mile-tall buildings comes into mind. But, the city has a lot of wilderness and many decaying buildings which is completely opposite of its image.
Just a few miles away of island Manhattan, there is a place abandoned since the 1960's which is holding a strange secret.
The hospital was started to treat smallpox.
Its nearness to LaGuardia airport is the reason behind it.
Share this secret place with your friends and tell them that even in New York City, there is an uninhibited place.
