Dolls are like Barbara Millicent Roberts (Barbie) with whom we all love to play, but there are some dolls that are so damn scary that we don't want them to turn up even in our dreams.
Probably myths or real-life stories attached to these dolls make us want to stay away from them at any cost. Here are some dolls that give us chills and it's better to stay away from them, as far as possible.
The Conjuring and Annabelle are two movies that threw light upon the scary doll named Annabelle. The doll and her story has been made famous so much that we all are well aware about it.
This doll once belonged to a guy named Robert Eugene Otto. This supposedly cursed doll has become a fixture of ghost tours in Key West. He looks like a sailor and the hair is like wool yarn. The doll is right now in a museum.
Since 1991, she has been on display in Quensel & District museum and has been scaring the lights out of people visiting the place. As almost every scary doll story goes, she started scaring the donor (unnamed) so much that they believed it was better to get rid of her.
Well, add voodoo doll and zombie together and we are sure that millions of people will be scared just by the name of it. This doll was sold through eBay and there was a special instruction to not remove the silver casing, sadly the lady disobeyed and rest you can imagine.
About 14 inches tall, this dolls' arms and legs are made of felt. She was made to resemble her Italian owner. She changes her position, taps glass, changes facial expression in the case she is put and also talks to her owner as claimed by them.
The story of the Donner party famous for cannibalism act is known to many, where only the doll is the one that is still intact. Though, she is not considered to be haunted really, she is associated with dark events in history.
When lovers get married, someone is jealous. As is the case with this Devil doll. When a wealthy queen got married to a Scotsman, a jealous ex-lover swore revenge. He cursed the lady when she was in labour. The lady died and gave birth to this scary looking kid.
This doll is still owned by Kerry Walton who found it. It is believed that this doll was made by a Romanian lady whose son died and that his soul is inside the doll. The doll is said to have a pulse, changes positions at will and when she is taken outside, it rains. People feel fear and sad on seeing the doll.
Currently owned by Anna, this doll has been passed down since generations. The women in the family have been cursed to keep up the tradition as every daughter gives birth to a son and a daughter. The son dies on the third day, and the spirit is transferred to the doll who is passed on. The doll giggles in different voices and pitches considered to be the boy's screams.
A man and woman considered spies were hunted and killed, however their daughter escaped but sadly she did not survive a fall. A monument was made in her honour. Shortly after a man had a dream about a little girl leading him to a doll store where a doll was on display. Having the same dream, 3 nights in a row, he decided to check it out and dream turned into reality. He purchased the doll and placed it in a shrine which is where the girl's soul found peace.
