Tiny House Movement is a new trend where thousands of people started downsizing their homes and possessions for a minimalistic living. Here, only your basic necessities are fulfilled and life becomes simpler for those.
Who wouldnt like a life like that? Where almost everything seems simpler?
Jeremie Buchholtz is a french photographer who was looking for his own place in Bordeaux. As the job of a traveller requires travel frequently, he wanted a functional house but not necessarily big. He started to look for a place in Bordeaux, but the houses seemed much expensive for the little money he had.
He got this place but, no one really likes the idea. But see what happens.
The house was $107,000 for 400 sq. ft. Everyone was mocking him for selecting this house, but he decided to go with the instincts that told him to buy it.
Obviously, the state of the house wasn't perfect to live in. He teamed up with Fabre/deMarien's architectural expertise and transformed this place into a home and studio apartment.
He spent $187,362. But wait, looking at the beautiful transformation of this house, we cannot say this is stupid. Surely, the value of the house has doubled.
This house has a kitchen, dining and living room, work area, wash room and a sleeping loft. And you say this place has no space?
There is also a "room within a room" concept used in this house. Here, taking the form of a cube, the bath room and dressing area is hidden and you can go straight to the sleeping area.
People would say looking at the house that it is not big enough for a lot of stuff, you know parties and all. But wait, look at this, I think you can shut up.
The cube idea is literally brilliant. The space for the living area is saved and a lot of space is also maximized. Genius, right?
The height of the cube also gives privacy as it serves as a divider between his private room and loft.
Looking at the amazing interiors and the beautiful ideas used to make this place, the only words you get are Genius and Beautiful. This guy be like, 'In your face you people, trying to make fun of me.'
What was the house when he bought it? Old and raged. Had he ever imagined it would look this beautiful? Oh, yes he made it look brilliant.
