This Cosplay Costume With Amazing Moving Wings Is Worth Your Money And Attention

As a replica of the video game League of Legends character Kayle's Aether Wings, an artist invested 1,000 hours and spent £1,000 to create a set of amazing wings for a cosplay costume. And although the thought seems insane, its end product looks very much worth all the while and money. The name of the artist responsible for the creation of this amazing masterpiece is Leo Simon, and the wings he has made are absolutely spectacular! Check them out!

A set of working wings

Leo has created a set of spectacular wings which can be controlled using an iPhone app. He has also fit it with several LEDs, and so it glows to form a spectacular sight.

Everything from scratch

Everything from scratch

Leo used a phone app to create the code required to flap the wings with the use of an iPhone app. He even had to learn how to engineer mechanical wings as he had no idea of it earlier. And apart from that, he had to shell out a fortune and put in a lot of effort to make the wings a reality. So as is obvious, the making of the wings took a lot more than the numbers reflect, and yet, it seems so worth it all!

Leo has tried to get the material required for the masterpiece as cheaply as he could. The whole design weighs a total of 20 kg. However, Leo says he is only 70% satisfied with the finished product, as its quality is not as good as he had thought of it in his mind.

Leo could not display the full potential of his costume at the London Comic Con as he was unable to walk with the wings folded backwards. "Naturally at the London McM I was limited in how far I could move around. I had problems with the harness since I'm by no means an expert on custom designed heavy-duty harnesses, so I couldn't safety walk around with them folded backwards. I basically walked around sideways everywhere. "
