A silo, derived from the Greek word siros is a structure for storing bulk materials like grains, sand, etc. Silos are usually used in agriculture to store grains. What they aren’t generally used for is to house people.
That’s the unusual idea that Christopher Kaiser thought of when he saw a 1950s-era silo sitting unused in a farmer’s field. But he didn’t just transform that silo into a house. He transformed it into his awesome home. Take a look:
This is how the silo looked like before creative Christopher's madness was unleashed. Plain and usual. How boring!
So in order to materialize his creative juices, Christopher kick started his project by cutting out the frame of his dream home.
Once the basic frame was set, he began to work on the interior. And by work we mean serious work!
Somewhere in the middle of the interior he realized that he forgot to sketch out the plans. Umm…oops!
As you can see from the plans this is no easy project. But if he managed to pull it off, it'll be one hell of a home!
Here's what the silo looked like after he was done with it. Pretty cool right!
Are you kidding me? This place is freaking amazing!
Look at it… just look at it! And the best part, it comes with cats too!
Not only the home but the garden around it is equally cool. Look at all the pretty green things!
After looking at that gorgeous little thing… whom shall I name this cheque to?
And comes with a pretty lady too!
