The wedding of Joanne Harvey (41) and Stuart Peers (38) ended on a bitter note when the lady suffered from numerous miscarriages. Sex between the couple became mechanical and was ruled by ovulation machine.
Fortunately, Joanne got pregnant when the former couple made love just for the sake of pleasure after two months of separation. The lady got the baby of her dreams when she was least expecting it. She conceived after having a one-night stand with her ex-husband.
Joanne said,'After suffering from multiple miscarriages I felt like I'd killed my baby, that I wasn't worthy of having children.'
Joanne and Stuart got married in 2010. But the worries and tensions due to miscarriages made the couple to part their ways in 2013.
Joanne said: 'I was fit and went to the gym every day, and I thought we'd get pregnant immediately, but it didn't happen. Stuart reassured me it would work eventually, and we should let nature take its course. But nine months on we started thinking, why isn't this happening? The consultant said everything was fine, and I thought, fantastic. We were told not to stress, so we just decided to have more sex and be mindful of which day of the month I was likely to get pregnant.'
After undertaking fertility checks for two years, nothing was found to be wrong in their reports.
Joanne got pregnant thrice, but her happiness was short-lived as within few days she started bleeding and miscarried every time.
After suffering from three miscarriages, the couple stopped talking to each other and got buried into the sorrow of never experiencing parenthood.
Stuart said: 'I thought it was my job to look after Jo and I didn't realise how much pressure that put on me. 'She went through the mill and I wanted to do everything I could to help her, but I ignored my own depression.'
Joanne said,'Our dream of having a baby had come true but my dream of having a family had been destroyed.' The couple tried to get back together once again during Joanne's pregnancy but things didn't work out between them. Stuart meets his daughter twice a week.
