The most precious metal, gold, has been popular throughout the history. The most widely traded metal has been regarded as a sign of social status and wealth. From tigers on the gold leash to the iPhone 6 Gold, the owners do not miss a single opportunity to seek attention, showing off 'Gold'. But what this 17-year old young man did was the height of insanity. He was a huge fan of the comedy movie Goldmember, which is a loose parody of the James Bond films. He is hence believed to have attempted to gold plate his own genitals.
Nazario Conchuza Gonzalez, a 17-year old LA gang member is a part of an infamous Ms-13 gang. He died of medical complications after attempting to gold plate his genitals celebrating his 17th birthday. He had taken a Spanish nickname of "Pelotas de oro", or golden testicles, before attempting to gold plate his own genitals, which ultimately led to his demise.
The gangster who loved gold, started painting his genitals gold with a lead-based paint. And like any other desire, his desire for having golden testicles was not satisfied. To take it to the next level, he needed the real gold. He used a professional automotive gold platter which he stole from a garage to gold plate his genitals.
Los Angeles Community Hospital Dr. Ian Joseffson told the local reporters that despite a certainty of death, 'Gold Plated Scrotum' are a growing trend among L.A. gang members. He continued saying: "This is the third case this year, but we have had many occurrences in hospitals in the region these past years. It seems to be a growing trend within the gang member community. I have no idea where this idea comes from but plating one's own genitals will only ultimately end in serious medical complications or even death as we have seen in this case."
Gold plating one's genitals is nothing more than a failed attempt, and you will end up being dead. In fact, it is the height of insanity. Yes, people love being respected and admired, they enjoy the title they are given. But it's better to stay away from earning some titles.
