"I wanted to see what would actually happen if I ... shared stuff that you wouldn't normally even share with your friends, stuff that is taboo, stuff that was quite crude." A single thought left London-based model Stina Sanders (24) in trouble.
We all know that social media world is full of glamour and fantasy. Most of us avoid the average-looking images when it comes to our social media profiles. But Stina, who is already so elegant thought of breaking the rule.
Talking to People, she told “Personally I think Instagram is so fake — the amount of filters, the airbrushing — so I thought it would be interesting.” And the result was, what she never had thought. She lost thousands of followers, almost three thousand.
She said, "When I did take those 'ugly' selfies, it was actually quite empowering. Who cares about how your hair's looking? Just be happy in yourself and be confident when you look in the mirror. It's so important to just be real."
After posting numbers of such unflattering images, she lost around 3,000 followers. She said, "I thought that my followers would remain the same but I would get no likes, but the total opposite happened. I had an influx of likes, but I had a massive decrease of followers." She still says, she will continue posting her real images. Stay updated to know what will happen next.
