When you're watching television, you just tend to shut everything out and enjoy the show. There's an incident when luckily one viewer paid attention and emailed the related authority regarding something odd that she noticed on the host's neck.
She was a nurse, and she was watching the show Flip or Flop. Tarek El Moussa, the host, had a giant lump on his neck, and he was lucky enough that he was warned about it soon.
The nurse watching the show quickly emailed its production team saying that the host should immediately see a doctor because his life might be in danger.
It was found that Tarek El Moussa had thyroid cancer which was malignant in nature. He immediately started off with his treatment procedures.
He had his lump removed and is now under radioactive iodine therapy to restore thyroid gland function.
He doesn't have a complete green signal about his cancer but since he is under meticulous treatment, he will be fine in no time.
Thankfully he had a loyal and knowledgeable fan watching the show who could alert him before it was too late. How lucky is that!
