Animals need to be in the places where they are comfortable. And cities are definitely not where horses feel comfortable. They're easily spooked. Car horns, giant buses, bikers whizzing, they're all huge triggers to these animals.
On October 23, 2011, Charlie dropped dead on 54th Street while lugging a carriage around Manhattan.
Horses have died. It's a dangerous arrangement that's going on - to both horses and people.
