Heart diseases have become the greatest medical concern not only in America but globally too. Various factors have contributed and transformed this disease into its mosterous avatar.
Even kids are now under the jaws of cardiovascular diseases. A recent study by the American Heart Association stated that heart problems due to overweight are increasing in eight-year-olds. The whole detail is sure to shock you more if you are a parent.
20 obese kids were studied in the research. Their MRIs proved that their weight has created a negative impact over their young hearts.
Heart muscle of obese was found to be 12% thicker than that in overweight children. With the left ventricle being a grueling 27% thicker.
Thicker the heart muscle, the harder it will be for the left ventricle to pump blood.
The contraction of heart among the obese kids is very less, which leads to bad heart function.
Further research is supposed to go deep into finding the reason behind this problem in younger age.
While, scientists are doing their jobs, you do yours' and don't let your kids feed on junk and become couch potatoes!
