In this age, women are most fertile and chances of being pregnant during this age are high. At this point, higher number of good quality eggs are released in the Fallopian tube. So, low-risk pregnancy and healthy babies are delivered in the 20's. But women now-a-days are opting for delayed marriage and pregnancy as well because of careers and to secure themselves financially. With the help of technology, you can even freeze the eggs and can use them whenever you want to have kids.
At the beginning of the 30's, fertility start to decline, and it increases after 35. There's only a 20 percent chance of pregnancy for a woman in her 30's. After the age of 35, the risk of miscarriage and genetic abnormalities increases. During delivery, you may face more complications. Egg freezing is still an option in the 30's but the eggs will not be as healthy as they were in the 20's. To freeze a good number of eggs, the women have to go through multiple cycles.
Women face a higher percentage of difficulty conceiving each year after the age of 35. Once a woman turns 40, she has only a 5 percent chance of pregnancy. Although celebrities get pregnant in their late 40's and for that, they might have gone through multiple cycles of in-vitro fertilization (IVF), or have used an egg donor to get pregnant. So, it is important to know that with the age, the pregnancy and delivery both get harder. Women may have health problems that make getting pregnant dangerous.
