C onsumption of food and beverages rich in sugar leads to the building-up of mass of bacteria or biofilm on the tooth surface, which is called dental plaque. The appearance of gum diseases such as gingivitis, periodontitis and cavities can be attributed to it as well. The mouth is considered to be the dirtiest organ of the body as it is full with bacteria. When these bacteria come in contact with the remnants of food, they form dental plaque. The tooth protection layer is damaged leading to cavities because of this acidic dental plaque. Its vital to remove dental plaque as it can lead to irritation of gums causing tooth loss, gingivitis and periodontitis. Taking care of oral hygiene everyday is very important in this regard. You need water and 30 grams of powdered walnut shell. Mix them in a small bowl and bring the mixture to boil for 15 minutes. Till it cools, keep it at room temperature. Then, brush your teeth with it about twice or thrice in a day. Scrub off the dental plaque only by using the powdered walnut shell and the tooth layer won't be damaged.
You need 4 teaspoons of sunflower seeds, 4 teaspoons of lime flower and 1 liter water. Mix all the ingredients in a big dish. Wait for half an hour after covering it. Use this mixture to brush the teeth after each meal. See to it that you don't cook the mixture.
