Ou Tongming, a 37-year-old laborer from Wangpu village in Ghizhou province fell from second story.

His house was under construction in June of 2013. Later, his wife and kid sent him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with several rib fractures, vertebral fractures and a spinal cord injury that paralyzed him from the waist down.

But the most disturbing part was his health was not improving, resulting his wife left home with 3-year-old daughter. So, Yanglin is the only one who has to take care of his father alone.

Yanglin currently is in first grade and wakes up at 6 a.m. every morning!

After that, he goes to school, take lunch and then he hurries back from school to feed his father. For the money, he collects scrap around the campus and earns 20 Yuan a day.

When he returns home, he helps his dad to turn over and apply medicine. As he is bed ridden for such a long time he has several bedsores, one of which has ulcerated and spread an infection to his pelvic cavity.

Instead of that scrap that Yanglin sells, they don't have any other means of income.

Except for 300 yuan in financial aid from the government each month, some warmhearted neighbors sometimes provide them with food and other help.

"I can't live without my father," Yanglin told reporters.

According to reporters, Tongming has thought of committing suicide more than once. "I wasn't determined as I couldn't bear to leave the boy orphaned," he said. Yanglin is eager to grow up and earn money to cure his father's injuries.
