Meet Michael Owen, a 22-year-old Rugby player who stopped a woman from jumping the M4 bridge. Let's look into how.
The woman had jumped the M4 safety railings and was facing the busy motorway below. He pulled over to try and slow down the traffic and help her.
Apparently the upset woman immediately seemed to calm down after listening to his broad Welsh accent. Michael made sure he held on to her hand to make sure she didn't slip, despite having broken his hand playing.
The police closed the road and parked a lorry underneath the spot just in case she fell off. At Michael's home in Cwamavon, South Wales, his sister Sarah's pride knew no bounds! She said : "I am just so proud of him for his actions, I could just burst with pride, and I know the entire family could too. He has an amazing personality and a huge heart, which is evident from his actions here." May the world have more kind and sensible men like Michael Owen around.
