Indian Government has issued a new set of guidelines for hotels and restaurants. According to the rules, the restaurants and hotels cannot force a customer to pay the service charge. The customers will have the right to decide if they want to pay extra or not.
The Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan confirmed the news with series of tweets.
Mr Paswan had last week hinted that his ministry had prepared a service charge advisory and the same had been sent to the PMO for its approval.
