The couple saw each other for the first time at Mumbai airport and...
"We first met each other, not exactly met but saw each other at the Mumbai airport. We were on our way to shoot for an advertisement, and we didn’t even know that we were paired with each other. The agency introduced us at the Hyderabad airport after we landed," recalls Hiten in a conversation with Deccan Chronicle.
"No one played cupid. She just said hi and bye to me for about six months, and then one day madam smiled at my jokes. I told her, ‘You must be laughing out loud at my jokes in your room right?' We started talking after that, then we started going out and we knew that we are serious about each other."
"Yes, I've been married once before," Hiten confesses...
"Yes, I've been married once before," Hiten confesses according to India Forums. "I didn't want to talk about it. Divorce isn't the best thing that can happen to anyone," he says.
According to the Bollywood Bhaskar, Hiten had an arranged marriage but he divorced his first wife in 2001. The name of his first wife has never been disclosed. It is said that he blames himself for the failure of his first marriage. He also says that communication gap was the reason that drove them apart from each other.
For him, Gauri is the best thing that ever happened to him...
"I'd started my career around the same time I got married. Probably I couldn't give her the time she deserved. It's said that, in an arranged marriage, love happens after you get married. But in my case, it never happened." So, the two decided to put an end to their eleven-month marriage and moved on in different directions.
Talking about his experiences, Hiten said, "After a bitter experience, I've realized that it's better to get married to a person you love. My marriage with Gauri (Pradhan) is the best thing that could ever happen to me. We know each other inside out. Also, since we're in the same profession, it helps us understand each other better."

I really plan to impress my friends and family once I am out with my new found culinary skills."
"It’s going to be a difficult test for me, and I am really nervous about that. I will miss them terribly, and all these years even when we have been away, we are always connected via phones and video calls. But that’s not allowed in the Bigg Boss house, so let’s see how it goes," he concluded.
