The Harry Potter novel and films series have drawn fans from across the world. In fact, the Harry Potter series have been too tempting to resist and perhaps this tempt has ended in a burglary.
Harry Potter's prequel penned by J K Rowling has been stolen. The theft occurred at a bidder's house in Birmingham, UK, last month.
In 2008, it was auctioned for literacy causes and was sold for £25,000 or $32,100 at current exchange rates, according to the BBC. The thieves also stole jewellery in addition to the prequel.
Interestingly, the police declared the theft three weeks after the incident took place. J K Rowling posted a tweet asking her followers not to buy it.
The local police have urged the people to inform them as soon as they get any information about it. In a statement, West Midlands Police said, "The only people who will buy this unique piece are true Harry Potter fans, we are appealing to anyone who sees, or is offered this item for sale, to contact police."
