Panasonic Eluga I9: Is Sleek The New Smart?

Panasonic recently revealed Panasonic Eluga I9, a new smartphone to add to their budget segment smartphone line-up. No doubt Panasonic is doing quite great with Panasonic Eluga I5 in this price section and to be honest Eluga I9 has an upgraded design and hardware. But priced at INR 7499, is this a great buy? Let's find out!

The display measures at 5" HD IPS and the 7.8mm of thickness also contribute to making the device more compact. The back has a chrome kind finish which eventually is resistant to minor scratches. However, the company doesn't claim anything on this. The phone is available in three colors, Space Gray, Champagne Gold, and Blue. Though every color is common among the other phone makers, personally, the Blue variant of the phone looks the best. As seen in the previous models, we have the 2.5D curved display maintained which kind of blends in the touch experience to the edges. The display, on the other hand, is something one can expect at this price tag. It is bright, vivid, and the warmth also looks on point. We have the fingerprint sensor on the rear side. Yes, nothing new and innovative, but it is always good to have a reliable and quick security option in this price range. Also, one thing worth mentioning is the user can also click pictures by tapping on the fingerprint sensor, this actually helps in quick and less blurry shots. On the processor part, we have Mediatek 6737 based on quad-core CPU with all the cores powered by ARM Cortex-A53. The processor is clocked at 1.25GHz so the phone doesn't heat up while charging or gaming and also ensures smooth performance on handling the apps and multitasking. The phone has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage which should be sufficient for regular usage and if needed the user can always connect USB drives.

Coming to the camera, the phone has a rocking 13MP auto-focus rear camera with multi-camera modes that let you edit your pictures without the need for an external software. It also has a high quality 5-megapixel front camera. The shots taken in sufficient and natural lights are sharp and very detailed. You can also check the camera samples at the end of the article. At the front, the 5-megapixel camera is certainly good in low light conditions with an ability to click shots using the fingerprint sensor. Using the phone for now around a week now the battery is decent. If you are into heavy gaming then you might need to charge the device more than once in a day, but for the ones limited to day-to-day usage and the internet, the device is capable to deliver some good juice to you.Concluding the things up, the device is a great combination of stock Android (Nougat) experience with a great built and battery life. We also have a few features like ARBO assistant which is helpful at times and yes, the phone supports 4G VoLTE. This is not the perfect device but certainly one of the few best devices in terms of design and hardware available in this price range.Buy now on Flipkart exclusively at a price of INR 7,499. To know more about the other Panasonic devices, please visit: www.mobile.panasonic.comAlso, have a look at the super awesome camera samples...
