2018 Is The 'Travel Year' And This Calendar Is Your Guide To Planning Long Vacations 

Long weekends are super amazing! Right? The thought of having one itself fills us with the feeling of contentment and nostalgia. Afterall, it is necessary to have a break from work, from usual daily routine. All of us have a hidden Bunny from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in us who always wishes to travel the world as if it is a part of some sort of job. 2017 is about to witness its end and if you haven't got the chance to enjoy some leisure time this year, do not crib it. We have a list of long weekends that are falling in the upcoming year. Come, let's witness what is extra special about 2018 month by month.(NOTE: The dates in grey colour denote the option of leaves you can opt for to spend some more time with your loved ones and yourself)  

1. January 

January 22, Monday Basant Panchmi: It is falling on Monday which gives all workaholics a room for relaxation more than a normal day. To make this relaxation memorable, one can always visit places like Rann Utsav in Gujarat.January 26, FridayRepublic Day: It is falling on Friday, so if you are planning to go for a vacation, then the Jaipur Literature Festival is one of the best options. A trip to Pink City can never go in vain.

2. February 

February 13, TuesdayMaha Shivratri: All you need is a leave on Monday, and you are good to go. Fly to the Lakshadweep or Andaman because there is nothing more pleasant and serene than the atmosphere there, especially in February.

March 2, FridayHoli: Holi is going to fall on a weekend, so you have two options, either stay at home and plan a very nice get together with loved ones or travel to nearby locations and explore a bit.  March 30, FridayGood Friday: March is going to impress you with yet another long holiday, and it will be on 30th of March for Good Friday and Mahavir Jayanti.

May happens to be quite dull in 2018. It doesn't have any special holidays but the first day of May is observed as Maharashtra Day as well as Labour Day.

June 15, FridayEid: Eid al-Fitr is falling in June, and it really calls for some celebration. If you want to escape the scorching heat of the sun during summers, you can probably take a vacation and head to the hills.

You can enjoy it thoroughly on the weekend. Take some time out from your busy schedule and do something different this year.

October 2, TuesdayGandhi Jayanti: October is going to start on a happy note along with some great opportunities to travel.October 19, FridayDussehra: Dussehra and Ram Navami call for a great celebration. Also, the icing on the cake is a Saturday and Sunday that follows the grand celebration.

November 7, WednesdayDiwali: The week of the festival of lights starts from Monday and ends on Friday. But, guess what? You still have a Saturday and Sunday to chillax. If situations remain in your favour, you can most probably fly abroad during this time and have some great time.
